Bill (known as Billy to his family and close friends from his neighborhood) Meehan was one of the best band mates, friends, and musicians anyone could ever hope to have. Bill helped form THE SLUSHPUPPIES in 1991, and, along with Jim (Jim Puff: Bassist), remained a constant for over twenty years while the band went through inevitable member changes.
Bill's sudden and unexpected passing in September of 2012 sent a shock wave through the local music scene amongst all who knew him as a performing musician with THE SLUSHPUPPIES, as well as the MaryBeth Maes Band (and duo), not to mention the hundreds (if not thousands) of students that received guitar lessons from him over a twenty-five year period at Performance Music Center in Woburn, MA.
This website is dedicated to Bill and remembering him as the "Big Man", well-liked by just about everyone who ever met him, and loved by those who knew him well. Bill, we will continue to ROCK in your name!
